From what he could tell of this Tanis, he would be badgering Naminé until she agreed to trying on a dress or two that he thought she would look good in. Therefore, he wasn't going to get involved in that. Aladdin still didn't know why the girl was so reserved and apprehensive about everything, but it was starting to intrigue him. There must have ( Read more... )

Indeed, Naminé wasn't too fond of the attention but politely sat down with Tanis, looking over the glossy pages of the book as he pointed out various designs and colors, all Naminé thought she would look horrid in.

None of them seemed to match up with her, as the blonde shyly played with the hem of her dress. Being used to the solitude of the castle, the presence of so many people in one room was somewhat scary to her, even though the Organization did this only four years ago.

But they were never this close...

Mulling over her thoughts, Naminé blinked as something red flashed in her eyes. Gently, she prodded the page with the dress, somehow enchanted with it's simplicity. And such a lovely shade of red ... like Axel's hair.

"... This one is pretty," was all Naminé quietly said, leaving the decision of whether it would good or not on her up to Tanis. He was the dressmaker, after all.

"Hmm?" Tanis stopped, flipping back to the page before. "Ahh, this one!" He smoothed out the pages for Namine to see better. "You like red?"

Kairi, at Namine's timid interest of a page, walked away from the wall with Aladdin and sat down on Tanis' other side, peering over the page. "Oh, thats pretty Namine!" she gushed, looking over the details of the sketch, pointing out things here and there.

Sandra chuckled, taking up Kairi's place on the wall. She cocked her head in a strange way, as if she were thinking. "You know," she muttered, "those two could be sisters."

Aladdin had been ready to tell Kairi that he was fairly sure Namine hadn't mentioned where she originally came from--not that he could remember, anyway--but she had soon walked over to look at one of the dresses. Typical.

He was fairly sure that everything would work out with the blonde girl if he could simply get a hold of Sora. He needed to get back to his room and send the Keyblade Master a message to ask him to get in contact with Riku. That would probably work out the best.

He hoped he wasn't forced to reveal too much to Kairi, since Namine seemed wary on that matter for whatever reason.

Glancing at the female dressmaker, he gave a small nod. "You're right." They even looked alike...

Naminé didn't expect Kairi to come over and sit with her, and this made the situation all the more awkward. Still, she tried not to show it as she nodded almost meekly to Tanis's question and Kairi's assessment of the clothing she picked out.

Yet, she also felt somewhat excited. It had been a good long while since she had done... anything, really. She wondered if Tanis really was going to make a dress for her. But the effort still seemed somewhat futile in Naminé's eyes: It wasn't like she was ever going to wear it, so perhaps she was only wasting everyone's time.

But she said nothing. They would want to know why and Naminé could not explain herself further. She would have to play along until she got in contact with Riku... but this did nothing to alleviate the guilt she had either.
