I ought to be more chirpy on the first of a new month but I'm miffed. I finally got the last 2 borders on the quilt mentioned here and spent ages carefully layering and pinning the quilt sandwich. When I pick it up to take it to the machine to tack I discover the backing isn't as tight as I'd like. I don't want humpy bits in my backing

Oh, poo. I hate re-doing the pinning. Well...at least you didn't do a running baste only to discover your error after hours of work, eh? (Small mercies, I know. ;) )

Dang to wonky backing, yay to getting it straightened so soon! And at least you discovered in time. I so prefer to repin versus rip and rebaste - or resew!

We're tidying the living room - and the Christmas Eve party has increased, last count was fifteen - possibly sixteen. :P Worst thing is, I really look forward to it!
