The oft asked of event is on!

The date (sorry for the short notice) is 12 JUN 04. That's not this saturday, but next. Hopefully this will work for most people. If you want to come (it'll be at my house in Lakewood) post a comment here. More precise info (time, games, etc) will be forth coming, if this day works for enough of us.

Now, some of these games require you to purchase them due to the fact that protection nowadays can be unbreakable. On another note, these games deserve you to purchase them because they are so damn k3wl and the developers need the dough. The following is a list of games I would like to play and if they need to be purchased or not by a (P).

1. Call of Duty (P) "woot!"
2. Unreal Tournament 2004
3. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (P)
4. Half-Life:Counter Strike (P) (CS is free if you have Half-Life)
5. Rise of Nations

I'm open to anything really.

I'll also provide a WiFi 802.11g network, 10/100Mbs switch (yes, everyone should get a switch port this time!) and all the CAT5 patch cables we need. Nimble has a stand alone box that we can use as the game server as well. We should start early enough to set up and deploy media if needed. I'm looking forward to it!

I agree about starting early. I have a WiFi G network already installed. We'll need to have an idea of how many people are going to be here (the more the merrier).

I agree about buying games you play a lot, but I'm not up on buying these games to play this one time. I'll see what I can do...

I can do Counter-Strike of course, although I'd need to reinstall Half-Life... again... sheesh! :)
