Happy birthday! I keep thinking that today is the 25th, because my dad has the same birthday as you, but is in Indosnesia where it is 12 hours ahead of me. So I wished him a happy birthday yesterday, and now am wishing you one today. I'M SO CONFUSED.

I think you got it all right. Japan is one time zone different from Indonesia, and even after all these years I sometimes get caught by the time difference. I usually try to think of it as "well, it's seven hours ago there, but it's also tomorrow", which only makes it worse.
