That was a talk both of them really needed to have, it'll help them understand each other a little better.

I feel sad for Jack, still believing that Rose died at Canary Wharf. Finding out that she was still alive, even though living in an alternate universe, is probably the only good thing that came out of Jack finally catching up with the Doctor again after more than a century of waiting. All the rest of that 'adventure' must have been a waking nightmare.

It's something that I'd completely forgotten about, if I'm honest. It came to me the other day, and realised that it needed saying. He does need to talk to someone sometimes, and Gwen is not that person. Ianto is observant enough to have noticed that there's something amiss about Jack, and can keep his mouth shut.

Jack loved both Rose and the Doctor, so knowing that she died at Canary Wharf must have been awful for him. Then this whelp turns up who managed to walk out apparently unscathed when she didn't must have been absolutely horrendous for him.

He is an awfully pretty whelp though. I wish we would have gotten to see a little more of Jack, Rose and the Doctor together. I liked their whole dynamic.
