Vega went outside when she realized Sephiroth wasn't inside. Looking up into the sky, she recognized the figure there as Sephiroth. Since Elena's capture, Vega kept her weapons with her at all time. The red-head knew Sephiroth would be fine on his own but to be on the safe side, Vega headed towards the tram-station.

She wasn't able to fly, so she had to travel the regular way. And with the surround areas empty, there wasn't much to worry about. Vega just felt the need to stick by Sephiroth, assuring them both that no one else was gone. And Vega couldn't just sit around feeling useless for the day.

It had taken longer than Sephiroth had anticipated; this task to restart a simple ropeway but it seemed that most of the power had been cut to the whole park bar the emergency lighting. He'd had to rig the energy for the ropeway up to the power that the emergency lighting ran off of, no small feat considering he wasn't an expert electrician and the generator he'd had to mess with wasn't ideal either. Intelligence won out though and with an impatient flick of the main switch in the small booth the confident feeling of success was soon returned. Sephiroth allowed a small smile to pull at the corners of his mouth as the doors to the tramcar slid open, then closed a few seconds later before beginning it's slow descent to North Corel below.

He wondered if the booth on the ground would need it's own operator, but he had every confidence that Vega would allocate someone suitably loyal to that particular responsibility if it was realized that it would be needed.

Vega watched the tram make a steady way down from Gold Saucer. There were a couple people stirring in town so she quickly found someone to take the spot at the controls when the tram finally made it to them before climbing on board. She nodded to the civilian and felt the tram jerk forward slightly before smoothly heading up. It felt like it took longer than it had back when she used to visit but Vega felt sure that was just her imagination.

When it finally came to a stop, she jumped out and looked towards Sephiroth and brushed her hair aside.

"Ready to go."

Sure enough, the tramcar made it to the bottom if a bit slower than would be appreciated. Not only that but within a few minutes it was loaded with a few people and the mechanism at on the ground level was operated and it began it's steady but slowed ascent back to the entrance level platform. Sephiroth wondered for a moment if perhaps Vega had caught the thought of his from all those many feet below.

Good Job He forced a thought outward, down a link he imagined would be there but unproven, untested and therefore quite possibly just a figment of his imagination at this early stage. It's not like he'd spent as much time with Vega as he had with Elena. For a bond to be founded? Mother hadn't chosen her?He didn't even have to cast much of a look at one of the civilians that had hopped out of the tramcar to get them to move into the control booth from which he'd emerged. Keen eyes watched Vega jump out of the tramcar and shift red hair out of her eyes as he approached the tramcar docking area and offered a small nod to her comment. He ( ... )
