I blog about inspiration both here and over at Book View Cafe. Feel free to comment either here or over there!

This week, I’m afraid, is again going to be about a different type of inspiration.

However, this week was also very different.

I hadn’t planned it this way. It was my choice.

This week turned out to be the last week I worked my day job ( Read more... )

Thanks!

It's a HUGE step for me. I know it's the right one. It will be an adjustment as well, and I'm looking forward to it.

I wish you the best of luck with writing and the mental funk. Those can be very difficult. *hugs*

I don't go to the Rainforest retreats - the timing was never good. And now, well, I can't afford it. Am broke. Hopefully not for the rest of my life, but for now...yeah. Not doing anything, living on a seriously thin shoestring.

Lighter? Oh yeah. The fiancee has already commented on how my shoulders dropped two inches the day I stopped working the day job.

I don't have to worry about being impoverished, not yet. The fiancee is helping with some bills (lots of jokes about being the Sugar Daddy...) I have enough savings to cover me for 2+ years. The vacation rental pays for the mortgage, so I don't have to really worry about being homeless. It's just me that I have to pay for, and I've already made a good chunk of what I need to this year via the fiction. Not all of it, no.

With luck, and a bunch of hard work, yeah, I hope to be making a whole lot more next year. And the year after that.

Thank you so much for the moral support! I do need that as well.

I won't be at Norwescon this year. I'll be at a workshop instead. Maybe next year, however...

Congratulations on cutting down to full-time writing! I have no doubts that now you will be able to devote all your organizational time and energy to publishing and it will skyrocket. Just look what you have been able to do already. :)

Congratulations are due all over the place! Scary and wonderful step. Best wishes on all fronts, and stuff. We should really go get dinner or something sometime ... after May, because I'm now in all-rehearsal-all-the-time mode for the annual dance show. (May 30th and 31st, look for details later this month) And when I'm not, I'm writing or working. (Or avoiding or doing chores, you know the drill.) But soon - we should chat. :)
