Is it a construct of aging that birthdays just mean less to you as you grow older? Because when I was little, I couldn't properly imagine going through an entire day and forgetting that it was my birthday.

apparently that's more common when you're turning twenty-three

My dear, I find that I am unable to accept this.

Come down to the shop, and we'll celebrate on our own if need be.

Yeah. I didn't know. I could have asked. But I didn't know and-

Happy Birthday.

Thank you, darling. It was Saturday, but I don't think I'd mentioned.

I'm guessing, from the tone of such an entry, that it's your birthday? Well, happy birthday, then. You wouldn't be the first to forget it.

Happy belated, Lily. It is a construct of aging. I'm done having birthdays. So far as I'm concerned, 25 is the perfect age and I'm there; I don't want any more birthdays. :-P

Thanks, Kimberly. So twenty-five is when it stops? I just got to twenty-three. Good to know. :)

Twenty-five is where it stops for me lol

I don't know, if you're only 23, you're totally good, sweetie, seriously :)

I'm agreeing with everyone else. It's definitely true.

I imagine they'd be even different here, where there isn't anyone who would

Happy birthday anyway, even if it's a few days late.
