This evening, while sitting on my arse doing nothing, I somehow miraculously managed to make a batch of a-maz-ing peanut butter cookies. I haven't baked for ages (and not in the crappy oven in my new house) and it was curiously satisfying. As was stuffing my face with cookies afterwards.

Thank you! It's another one from the 'rents - a 1968 Ercol table.

Sorry, I lie! It's G-Plan, haha. Shows how well I know my classic furniture :-P I have another table that's Ercol though.

God, I think I might turn into a furniture snob!

That's quite some fridge.

I have a pretty big fridge, but it's full to bursting with half-empty jars. Admittedly not all the jars actually need to live in the fridge, but there's not enough cupboard space that I could just put them there instead. Also, if things get too close to the back of the fridge then it just freezes them (have lost many nice vegetables to this quirk), so it's hard to make full use of the space.

Cookies sound gorgeous too. I haven't made peanut butter cookies for years. I seem to remember I made some very nice savoury peanut butter biscuits in, um, about 1993. (I know it was then because I remember the kitchen I was making them in, and it was my first year in college.)

Re the rug, I just know if I had something like that in my living room I would spill red wine all over it within about 5 minutes of putting it down. When I am living in a house that does not belong to someone else I suspect a red wine coloured carpet will be a wise choice.

It's an insane fridge! I feel a bit bad about owning it, given that I live alone and don't cook. And have my electricity on a crappy meter I have to feed with cash ;-)

I al quite scared of spilling stuff on the rug. My Mum specifically warned me not to! But I guess it's MY rug now so if I do, then it's only my fault ;-)

I couldn't turn it down, though - it's a really high-quality rug and I'm very lucky to have it. I think I'll be OK as long as I spill any red wine on the wine-coloured parts of the carpet ;-)

My last flat had a meter that you could only refill by means of a card - OK, there was a shop just across the road to refill the card with, but somehow it always seemed to run out precisely at the point where I was about to wash my hair because it wasn't really fit to be seen in public...

Also meant to say I like the ceiling-to-floor curtains. I'm a big fan of drapey fabric as a wall covering.

Mine ran out a couple of weeks ago in the middle of the night. Aaargh!

I'm going to get is swapped for a proper one eventually. It's on the list of 100000 things to do ;-)

You have a rocking chair, I think I'm going to die of envy.

I mean, pink bedroom, cherry lambrini AND a rocking chair. You absolutely win.

It's a Victorian nursing chair, again courtesy of my folks. It's fab!

Haha, but what's the point of a laptop with wireless if it doesn't follow you round the house like a faithful companion ;-)

I do have a desk, but it's being repurposed in my spare bedroom for artstic endeavours!
