AUGH CLIFFHANGER. Draw us in with the sex and accidentally get us tangled up in the plot, why don't you. I love having Leonard back.

Sam grins and for a second it’s like Gene’s forgotten everything that’s gone between them, because he smiles back. This is them again, two antagonists who manage to make a partnership work. Sam wonders if he could act like there’d been no fumbling in the dark, if this isn’t the only way to ever bring them back to normalcy. But then Gene’s expression reverts to caution and alarm with a not-so-silver lining of abhorrence and Sam knows that there’s no way they could ever be the same again. Mort and la petite mort have changed them irrevocably.

Yes, in fact, I am STILL adoring this series. So much. Of course the sexual tension is very hot and nerve wracking but I also enjoy the storyline, and Gene's usual brutal stubbornness and rudeness.

Your inclusion of Leonard is brilliant. I liked his character a lot in the show and you've captured him so well, his humble pride and resignation and intelligence. Oh so wonderful! And I was highly amused at how Sam forcing Gene to apologize only made everything worse. Heheheheh. Oh, Gene...you are a pillock.

I love Leonard. I have said this a lot (a lot, a lot.) He is my number one favourite minor character of the series. He's so brave, against his own will, and clearly a smart guy. I just --- yes. So thank you!

Sam should really know by now that any time he tries to force Gene into anything it ends badly.
