A pair of dark eyes shifted to the timepiece in the room and the owner of said eyes noticed it was about three minutes to three am.  True to his word, he hadn't gone to bed.  It hadn't been too difficult, as he tended to be an insominiac most of the time anyway.  He'd simply caught up a bit on his reading.
