Why're you coming?

It's a bit to explain in full but... I believe a change of scenery will do good for Shinjiro-san right now. However, he will not leave on his own, so Flandre and I are going to accompany him. I've yet to see Dissimulo, myself, so it will be new for us all.

It won't be a problem, will it?

Understood.

Do you have a place to stay here?

No, we don't. We've never been there before.

Should we bring anything?

Shinjiro should meet Shinjiro!

[She's holding the rabbit part of this equation in her arms. It's sufficiently jaded by now not to be terribly bothered.]

We'll be bringing the rabbits, so I'm sure they'll meet.

Bat-san will be coming with us as well.

[Flandre seems quite happy about this!]

Oh, oh, what kind of bat is he? Will he fit in a basket too, or is he flying around outside, or something else?

He is a vampire bat. he would fit into a basket but I don't think he'll like it there.

Maybe he'll like you, though. Flandre-chan can speak to him and make convince him to ride in the basket? Otherwise he'll probably fly with us or attack to us from our heads. [he giggles]

I was hoping it would be.

Oh, I see. I'm glad there has been someone running trips for you, then. Would it be too much trouble for me to visit?

Not at all. Take your time.

[He's got nothing to hide. Or well yeah he kind of does, but his "give a shit" level is sort of stuck at "low". WHAT ARE WORRIES]

Thank you. I look forward to seeing you.

I'll be staying for about a week's time, unless something unfortunate happens.

[And he hopes not.]

You said you need help running your cafe? [ He wants to address the festival too, but this piqued his interest first. ]

Yes.

Nearly all of the employees have been sent home an with my work at the hospitals, I can not be there all the time. It's important to be it stays open, even if it's only a few days a week.

Would you be interested in assisting me?

Yeah, sure. What kinds of things do you need someone to do? You said cooking and making tea and coffee?

Reply

[voice] loyal_cube September 13 2011, 02:59:05 UTC
That's correct. Coffee and tea preparation as well as baking. I can only be there in the mornings, and not every day... so I would need someone else to manage for me while I'm not around.

It used to be much livelier, and so... we even used to have wait staff. I don't believe they're needed as much now with the slowing of traffic.

Harvest moon?

loyal_cube September 13 2011, 00:28:06 UTC
Yes, one offers for the Tsukimi festival while praying for an abundant harvest. Sometimes other items from harvest can be offered as well but it's traditional to make dango and eat it while observing the full moon.

It's a Japanese holiday I observed and celebrated during my stay in Japan. The young miss enjoyed it and Eirin-sensei observed it as well when she was here. It's important tome to continue celebrating it. I have many things to be grateful to the moon for... even if the moon here is not the same as theirs.

Yeah? What would be a good way to celebrate with Japan do you think? You too of course.

loyal_cube September 13 2011, 03:42:04 UTC
Ah, well... Japan-san is probably preparing for it, I assume. You could simply enjoy dango with him or bring him something to offer.

There is a game some of the children play where you find as many round objects as possible. The full circle represents the moon and so, things that resemble the moon are often associated with on this holiday.

Short poems relating to the moon are sometimes read as well. Those who are able to sometimes go someplace high or over water to see the moon's reflection.

[ignoring that last bit as politely as possible.]
