The best Artful is in the musical. He is RIPPED from the pages of the novel.I highly recommend watching it, even though it's reather silly. The characters are just spot on. I actually detested Polanski's Oliver. I don't know why, but I thought everything about it fell flat. Watch David Lean's Oliver Twist, that one is wonderful.
