Like the website says, it's the book club edition. The text is probably the same as the actual British first edition, but it's got a different cover or slightly cheaper binding or something. The only difference is that book club editions aren't valuable, even if there are fewer of them than the actual first edition.

Aaah right.

I'm a bit puzzled by the fact that twiyah said that the first eds don't have an epilogue... but my paperback ends the same way as the hardback O_o.

Perhaps she was thinking of the bit with Warlock toward the end? According to The Annotated Pratchett, that isn't in the UK first edition. It was added to the American first and all subsequent editions, British and American. I've never heard of the UK first not having the epilogue, but I don't own a copy, so I can't check.

Within British editions there should be no variation in the actual text. I do know that very very minor changes were made to some American editions of the book, a list of which used to be posted here, although the journal is gone now. :(
