I've been re-reading Good Omens. Thinking about what will happen if it ever gets to be movie. Will they decide to set in California as threatened? I hope not, to me this novel is as English Steak & Kidney pie. And will Johnny Depp be playing Crowley? Everyone whos read the book whom I know (about a sum total of four people) think He'd be perfect ( Read more... )

Whoa. I totally never considered Hugh Laurie, but he'd be awesome! Wow, good call! *goes off to have Hugh-as-Aziraphale fantasies*

I can see why movie-type people would want to set it in California (they're always doing things like that), but they'd be wrong. Rule Brittania!

Anyway, I like Johnny for Crowley, but for Azi, I'm thinking Kenneth Branagh.

Agreed, 'cause actual Lockhart is an actual moron. ^_^ But, mmm, Branagh in tweed. (I have a thing for tweed. I'm a Giles fangirl, too.)

1. Fuck, Hugh Laurie could play Aziraphale and Crowley at the same time because he's that awesome. Besides, he does play wonderful bastard characters. *House fangirl, why do you ask?*

2. In a recent interview with Terry Gilliam, Terry said that Johnny is more or less out of the running for Crowley due to the fact Johnny's starting his own production company, I believe.

California?! Oh I hope not.
Some changes the Movie People make are good, some make sense given they're making something as a film, but some are just beyond me. Personally I'd love to see GO set in England. X3'

I'd like to see Kenneth Branagh as Aziraphale. I feel like Hugh is too much of a waif.

That being said, either would be a good choice.

... and Johnny... Johnny can pull off ANYTHING.
