I have to drop in and say that I LOVE your design of them! It's obvious that it's them but with a splash of originality. So much love for that.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear that you like it. The art style is something new I've been experimenting with...normally I tend to draw things in a comic book/anime sort of style...so I'm still trying to get a hang on this way of drawing ^^

Oh, it's FANTASTIC! Very different from most of the fanart I've seen. My only "critique" (if you can call it that) is that it looks slightly odd to me that Aziraphale has wings and Crowley doesn't - but it's hardly a major detractor. Plus, the wings are freakin' cool looking. XD

Well done indeed!

I'm glad you liked the wings, and as for the reason only Aziraphale has them..well, as this was intended to be a book cover, I wanted to try and keep the illustrations simple, without adding too much overly complex detail (ie - no snake skin on Crowley's shoes)...because once you reduce an image like this to book cover size, you lose most of it. Even at this size, a lot of the detail has vanished - for example, you probably can't tell, but if you zoom in on Crowley's cell phone, the caller ID screen says '666' ^_ ( ... )

No worries, I love hearing the thought processes behind folks' artwork. ^___^ And yeah, you're quite right about trying to keep the cover simple, so by that logic it entirely makes sense to leave off Crowley's wings. Good point.

And you completely succeeded with the Azi/fire thing, btw.

Aw, thanks! ^^ I need to draw more Good Omens stuff, in various styles...I have another picture of Aziraphale (in a more anime style) up at y!gallery (it doesn't have adult content so anyone should be able to view it..):

I give details in the description there, but yeah..I need to work on making Aziraphale more stocky and pudgy...my only excuse is that he was young and androgynous back then ^^;

Also, totally unrelated - your usericon kills me laughing. My father teaches Aikido so I grew up knowing "uke" as a martial arts term; discovering there was an additional meaning scarred me for life, especially since Dad has a sweatshirt that says, "I'm uke, you're uke." I twitch every time he wears it now. *snerk*

Hah. I found the image on a random google image search..and I went "..that has to become a LJ icon."

And so it did. And your dad's shirt would probably make a mint at yaoicon XD;;

Yay! Please look for us, then :) I'll be dressing as Velma from Scooby Do on the 21st...but just look for a pair of big white and big black feathery wings on the 22nd and 23rd.

Actually, I'll be all alone on the 20th and 21st (my Crowley's only showing up late D: T_T) so if you want, maybe we can meet up and hang out for awhile ^^ Actually this applies to anyone in the community who's going - I'd love to talk with other Good Omens fans! Feel free to email me about it:
