I really like the style that you used for the cover. The simplicity of the character designs look very nice against the flat backgrounds. Also, your Az kind of reminds me of Loki's design in The Sandman.

Lucky you going to Comicon. Will you post pictures of your GO cosplay?

I'll definately post pictures ^^ I'm actually finishing up some props right now - Aziraphale is going to be carrying around Agnes Nutter's book, and Crowley's snake skin shoes still need adjusting so they won't fall off...

I'm glad that the simplicity of the design worked for you. I was thinking of adding more shading, but it tended to make it look a bit too cluttered...and I know what happens in The Sandman, but I've never actually read it D: though I've gone through the sequel once or twice, while hanging out at Borders.

Those props are too awesome. Dammit, I really wish I was going to SDCC now, I'd love to see that in person. (It's not to stalk my history teacher, really.)

Well, in book four there's this one pannel of Loki that really struck a chord with me and your Az design for some reason. I think it just means I've got to stop reading comic books for a while.

Also, you look familar. Are you on fm_alchemist? Your art seems familar.

I'll keep an eye out for Sandman, then..and boo, it's a shame you can't be at the con, yes :(

And actually, yes! I did post some stuff in the various Fullmetal Alchemist communities awhile back. I've just been busy with graduation, so I really haven't done a lot of artwork in awhile, sadly.

I really like that! I love the style it's drawn in; I'm glad you decided to experiment with style, it really worked out fantastically. I like their outfits. Yuppie demon indeed.

I also want to go as Crowley for what is probably my last Halloween trick-or-treating (we're using my friend's little sister as an excuse). Any tips? :)

Thank you ^_^ and I'd be happy to provide tips! Though it does depend on how much work/money you want to invest into the costume, and what you're starting with (ie - your natural appearance)..and also what you intend to wear it for (walking around outside mostly, or to a costume party or some such)...

But yeah, if you can answer that for me, I'd be happy to give you as many tips as I can think of ^_^ I love helping people with costumes.

I've got the dark hair which will hopefully be much shorter (because two-and-a-half foot hair is difficult to deal with), so that's all right; my eyes are blue, but we can just pretend. I've got prescription sunglasses, so that's taken care of, and I have money to spend, although not too much. I want to wear it mostly outside, so it has to be sort of indestructible because I'm clumsyclumsyclumsy, but it doesn't have to be very detailed--that's what walking around in the dark is for!

Right, right...so, I think the main concern here is that, well..frankly, the chances of anyone recognizing that you're Crowley are pretty low, sadly - even people who've read the book, unless you tell them, will probably not get it (I speak from sad, sad experience ( ... )

That's so very cool. I already commented on there, but that style is brilliant! It seems to fit them both very well.

Deviantart gives me trouble, so I'll answer the question you posted (assuming it's you...) here...it's actually not an S, it's a snake :)

(Yep, it was me!)

Oh, that's clever! Sorry I didn't catch it at first.

Wow, that is such a unique style! Very cartoony, which I love! And thanks so much for giving Aziraphale that little extra pudge around the middle (he's so utterly endearing that way). I've done a book cover parody myself ;)

That's really adorable! I love the stylized look you have to both of them. And it's a more true to the novel portrayal of both characters--as opposed to the doofy-looking Aziraphale-in-sneakers on the American hardcover and a lot of the other versions I've seen. Good job!

The newest US version was supervised by both Gaiman and Pratchett, btw. It's fairly close to canon.
