Heh, sure. 0_o I also hugged him; would you like to hug me too? :D
Though, truth be told, I was altogether embarassed that the contents of a video I took were used to infer a stance I don't support, namely that C/A slash is canon. Still, it was public information; I'm surprised it was put on wikipedia though.
In any case, I wonder if I introduce myself as my screenname he'll finally tell me what his favourite GK Chesterton work is...and if Crowley smokes.
See now, whoever put that bit in the Wiki post was just asking for trouble. That's the sort of thing you don't do if you want your slash pairing to not get impaled with a tyre-iron.
But hell, just because Neil Gaiman said they're not canon doesn't mean I'm going to stop slashing them. Nor any of the other pairings in other fandoms that canon has thwarted (I do wish people would stop killing off members of my slashable pairings, though).
I definitely don't think slash in the GO fandom will die at all; it'll keep going for the same reasons any slash happens in any fandom, regardless of canon. Although, if you look at some of the HP fanfic that's out there, death apparently has never been a problem for slash. ;X
I don't see the big deal. He simply said that any romantic relationship between the two is not canon, meaning that he and Pterry have never said that yes, Aziraphale and Crowley are boinking. They have also never definitively stated that they are not and never will be.
But Gneil still did say that the two are currently living together in a cottage on the South Downs, and he certainly knew how that would be taken by a good many GO fangirls because I have informed him of it personally and I'm sure many others have as well. Gneil isn't killing the ship; he's just saying that hey, Wikipedia is interrogating his comments from the wrong perspective.

Agreed. Though I'm as irritated as vampie6 is, because I would never have wanted someone to link my post about the signing on Wikipedia, ever. That's not common sense at all; what's meant for the fan world should stay in the fan world.
I mean, it works for the person who likes to change the definition of "auto da fey" to "what you oughtn't to do but you do anyway." Whoever that mystery person is. *shifty eyes*
I dunno, I don't think that anybody should be put off that he said that. I mean, it's almost no fun if they were going togeather in Canon right? Also, what did anybody expect lol.

Not that I've thought about it much, of course. Heaven forbid. ;)

Do you mean interrogating or interpreting? ;)
