wow that was great... i definatly think i should send that to my church minister... or youth minister... or maybe just my youth group... so maybe they'll stop being so prejudice towards anyone who looks different from them
HA! i was thinking of the same thing. actually i was thinking of printing it off and handing it to my ex-sunday school teacher. i'm so mad at my church's way of going about things with the youth. and my parents and i finally talked about it and they said i didnt have to go to sunday school anymore. so now instead of skipping and avoiding one of the youth pastors i dont like (once when i skipped ss and he found out he called my house and reported me! is that anal or what?) i also know my pastor personally so...i'm highly tempted to talk to him about it since there is infact a rather large group of us at my church who are goths or punks and none of us really seem to fit in.
Hmm...that's an interesting article. I like the way it reminds us that Jesus accepts anyone, no matter who they are or what they've been through, because He knows it all. I think I'll post it on my LJ, even though I'm not a goth ^.^ But alot of my friends are, and I'd like them to see this.
By the way, you're welcome to visit my church anytime you like! And not just the service this time, but to meet the youth group. I think you'd like them. We've got preps and freaks, and everyone is accepted. Ask one of my best friends there. Her dad is the music minister at the church next-door, and she came to our church because she didn't feel accepted over there. She's been to a lot of different churches in her life because of her dad being a minister, and she says this is the first one where she's fit in and no one has judged her for who she is. Just something for you to consider. ^_^
