I'll get 5 dozen and be more than covered (well, I hope so anyways) for the first few month (assuming I can use them up to maybe 15 lbs or so? I am still speaking to the woman ( Read more... )

I find that breastfed poo does not stain like formula. In fact, most moms do not rinse their diapers of breastfed poop before washing. I always have though. I never have formula fed other than on occassion so I really cannot say whether breastfeeding causes more blow outs but I have not had an issue ( ... )

I am SOO interested. I can only afford so much each week, but let me know what you have and we'll work something out. I am not afraid of any usage or any staining, just of the cost (lol).

there are some that are all in one (AIO) and they are like disposables, but if you need more absorbancy, you can add layers. There are a lot of different kinds. We're going cheapest route, which requires a little more work. The prefold are pretty much cloth rectangles you have to fold and wrap and pin and then cover with a water proof cover and hope it doesn't leak (lol). BUUUT, it'll save a lot. Assuming we spend maybe $400 on the first 6 months or so, it'll have saved us just in that time over $400 especially with it being twins. I'd say the extra work is worth it (that's not even CONSIDERING the difference in environmental impact, which was the original reason I ever became interested) or just how much flat out cuter cloth booties are (lol).
