I am afraid that civilization itself, right back to the development of land ownership and agriculture, is inherently sexist. Not necessarily patriarchal, but since the dawn of technology men have used their small yet crucial left-brain spatial/abstract advantage to fashion a world based on economic utility, where the things THEY do get valued twice as much as the things WOMEN do
