So in the last 9 months....or maybe even longer, I've been reading and watching a lot of Stargate: Atlantis. I've seen all the episodes at least once, some of them twice, and realize that a Stargate (aka The Ring of the Ancestors) can take you pretty much anywhere, and bring you home again. You might meet some folks who live in a backwater hamlet
