TEN + TRUE FACTS
• Shame? Is that word even in the dictionary? This little Italian knows nothing this mythical thing you call ‘shame‘. He grew up on giving kisses and hugs to family and friends so a peck on the cheek or lips is nothing. PDA and the dislike many have for it confuses him and he’ll gladly make out with his current lover if they'll let him.
• Feliciano had the habit of taking naps as a child, along with his brother, every single day at 3pm, without fail. As soon as that little hand hits three it’s off with the clothes (What? Don't you know siestas are never taken with clothes on? Silly you~) and into a warm bed. More often than not though he forgets to get fully dressed after he wakes up, even in winter sometimes when he remembers to lace up some boots and grab a large coat. Seeing as the article he always forgets is his pants he usually has to be stopped before he goes out in public and gets a ticket, again.
That all stopped once real life took hold though. No daily siestas because of school and work, though if he can catch a few z's in the day we will. Otherwise Feliciano just sleeps in very late on weekends. There's no harm in that~
• The Vargas family said ciao~ to Italy and all her beauty when Feliciano was seven and moved to Liberty. His parents set up a quaint little pizzeria that got a good amount of attention for its home-cooked meals. It's been shut down a few times and through many a rough patch but when it's open you can find the boy there, getting food during lunch or while working on clothing designs. Oh, and helping out a lot of course! Especially nowadays. Euforia didn't take too kindly to an intern just up and leaving without notice so he kind of came back to America without a job and needing to repeat his last semester of college since he vanished partway through it.
• As a rich and fashion forward Italian man, Feliciano's wardrobe is filled to the brim with high fashion, mostly straight from Italy or his own worktable. Name brands straight from the makers is the only thing acceptable and he will never buy anything like Armani from anywhere but the source. Feliciano likes to take chances with other designers as well though, just like he hopes people will take a chance when he gets up their with the big labels. A piece or two from Cavalli, leather works from Bottega Veneta, Diesel jeans (fuck Levi‘s), suits by Antonio Fusco and oh so much more. So what if it takes a while for the things to arrive from Italy? Being in fashion with comfortable, elegant and with fine quality clothes carefully put together with an image in mind is how things work. He’ll shop here in Liberty, don’t mistake him, but only at high end stores with a tag price that will make you question his sanity and just how deep his pocketbook is.
• With fashion being in such high priority, Feliciano feels… upset when his friend’s fashion is - well it looks like they either dressed in the dark or rummaged through a Walmart sales bin for the cheapest things. Such disregard for how they look (even if that is the point of Italian casual fashion) will not fly and this boy will drag you out on a shopping adventure sooner than you can say Dolce & Gabbana. Considering he drives like a stereotypical Italian you probably want to stay out of the passenger seat though aka dress right.
• The pizzeria... Competing for Feliciano's favorite place along with any well stocked kitchen. After all, what Italian doesn't love food? Feliciano is no exception, in fact he may be one of the reasons for that stereotype as he's always indulging in his national cuisine; or any cuisine really. So long as it isn't yucky wurst. He experiments frequently, trying to mix various styles. Usually they taste rather good, but for some reason whenever he tries to work with German cuisine… well it doesn’t work to well. He’s trying, really! Obviously wurst just hates him. Sadly, this love of food, cooking and sampling said cooking usually leads to over-eating (thank goodness for fast metabolism) and hes a little pudgy around the middle and gets frequent stomach aches from gelato, pizza and pasta overdose.
• Like all Italian males, or at least the males in his family, Feliciano is a huge flirt. Compliments, smooth words, gifts, dazzling smiles and lavish dinners make him a man many a girl, and guy, swoon for. He spares no expense on making his current lady, or beau, happy and content. He's dated seriously more than a few times but nothing ever lats too long. He's still looking for the right one to wed. He'd thought he'd found the one but... well life just keeps pushing them apart it seems. First being kidnapped and then the other just up and left? He's started to lose hope on that front. (Fact subject to change once a new Germany apps and is wiling to make them have an established relationship :'>)
•Despite his many partners though Feliciano is still a virgin. Heavy petting is the furthest he's gone, well maybe a bit more, when one's a bit tipsy on wine its hard to keep your hands above the clothing barrier after all. The Catholic in him insists he'd married before he goes all the way and even if he doesn't adhere to the laws as much as he used to when living under his parents roof it is one thing he isn't budging on yet.
• His most favorite family member, until recent years, had been his grandfather. The old man was constantly around when Feliciano was young and he absorbed his love of all forms of art from cooking to singing and architecture to painting. Recent activities though have made him greatly rethink his emotions for the man he once held in high regard. It started with the black men in suits and creepy meetings in the back rooms of the pizzeria, escalated to the brothers being tossed in jail, then being kidnapped by their grandfather. Add in the kidnapped by rogue mafioso, a man exploding in front of him and then not being allowed to leave Italy after the holidays, well... Nonno's favorite nipote doesn't think he deserves the same “favorite” status.
• Being such a lover of the arts though brought about the one serious problem he faced with schooling; which form of art would he major in? There was fashion and culinary and interior design and drawing and painting and photography and so many others and he loved them all! In the end he chose Fashion, since the family did have the pizzeria. Plus he didn't need a piece of paper to tell him he could make some mouthwatering gnocchi.
• Art smart is one of the few kinds of smart he is though. Feliciano barley scraped up anything higher than a C in both middle school and high school in anything but extracurricular, Language Arts and History. Math and science give him headaches and gym was a scary place where he had to run from scary people. He normally got low D's or F's in those. Street smarts are another thing that skipped over him. Romano always seemed to be the tougher one, Feliciano just gives up at the first sign of trouble, turns tail and runs as fast as he can - if he hasn’t been captured that is. His legs can only carry him so far though and he usually ends up needing to be bailed out of trouble. When he was younger though it always seemed like these strange, tough guys came around though when he was in trouble and got him out of it. Useful, but Dio were they scary!
• The "strange, tough guys" were really part of the mafia though. Like anyone would tell Feliciano that vital bit of information. Best let him think grandpa bought his way into college because he was super rich and totally not the Don of some underground, organized group of thugs and he was just a lucky little bastard. It could be far too much trouble to let him know how deep the Vargas' were actually involved in organized crime. What did the boy think they used those secret back rooms at the pizzeria for anyways?
The cat couldn't be kept in the bag forever though and after a mishap with a gun Romano didn't put away the whole story came out. Only the bare minimum though. Family = mafia, mafia = bad, mafia = scary, keep away from mafia. With now first hand experience with these thugs Feliciano is scared for his life and is thankful he isn’t living with Roma anymore, and after the fiasco with being held captive in Italy... well, he isn't going to be attending family functions ever again. Or even stepping a foot back inside the beautiful Italia for that matter without someone to help him back at his side.
SECRET: He‘s killed a man for kidnapping him, almost shooting Roma and threatening to kill Feliciano right after. A week or so later a large gang war broke out at Nonno‘s place and he killed more in order to protect the ones he loved. He didn‘t know who he was supposed to be shooting though and just might have hit people working for Roma, just maybe. He‘s ashamed and scared of all this now and is constantly trying to forget, which doesn’t work as well as he hoped. Nightmares are becoming a constant thing and the sight of a gun makes him cringe and break out into a cold sweat. It doesn't help that his family in Italy basically took him hostage and exposed him even further to the life of a mafioso. His cowardice seems to have doubled upon his return to semi-quiet Liberty and with it the nightmares. Romano may often push him to the other side of the bed, but even that close contact is much preferred to the cold mansion next door and he often sneaks into the elder's bed.

The brush added a streak of garnet, blending into the oranges, yellows and purples of the sunset he was painting. Hazel eyes chanced a look up noting the sun had sunken lower. He had to finish before the last rays of sunlight twinkled from existence. Such a shame that the lighting kept changing. He could take a picture, but those never did justice to the angles of the light and the brilliance of color. His painting wouldn’t either, but it had more emotion than a silly photograph ever could. Plus, it wasn’t the sunset that mattered, he was just finishing up mixing the hues. No, the background in its brilliance didn't matter, the figure it was framed around did.
“Now if only the focus would stay still,” Feliciano laughed and grinned as he took the brush to canvas again, leisurely finishing the painting (a touch of blue in the eyes, a few small strokes to the hair of man and beast, and yes the light sheen of sweet) as the sun sank steadily lower. The subject and his three dogs continued shifting but he compensated for the motion. He packed up only when it was nearly impossible to see and his focus was calling at him to hurry - they would be late for dinner.
”Coming Luddy~!” He quickly gathered his supplies and raced towards his fiancé, tackling the older man in an awkward one armed hug that nearly sent them both to the ground with the excited dogs. “Look, I painted you and the dogs!” He was beaming as he showed off the drying painting and was awkwardly praised. With a laugh, and a stolen kiss that left the taller European blushing, he was racing with the pets off to the car, Ludwig sputtering and shouting as he trailed behind them. “Last one there washes the dishes!”
