Today I worked a double: server and then cocktail runner. A full 12 hour day in shoes that I have yet to break in. Everyone says that Cons are supposed to be the most goddamn comfortable shoes ever, but they never talk about the hell before you break them in. First time in the Leilani's outfit doing Leilani's type things. I figured out almost immediately why my uniform made me look like a man. I thought maybe the bathroom mirror was bubbly or something, but nope careful observation by yours truly led me to find out that it is indeed a man's shirt. My 14 year old cousin, Kayla, took me to a place where she and her friend usually hang out on the weekends. This place is known as Blackrock and essentially is a 25-30 foot drop off into the ocean. Yes, I promise that I'm content here in my bed wearing pink and purple elephant pajamas with a movie and chapstick, sipping a cosmopolitan.

The picture of summer has come and gone.

No more waiting on tables with incompromisable customers.
No more good paying job.
No more sleeping in.
No more late-night dates with my laptop and DVD collection.

However, I will be optimistic. Just not about packing my car.
