last night was nothing short of amazing! ryan's art opening turned out so, so well! there was a crowd in the gallery for over 4 hours and nearly everyone was actually reading all the pieces! ryan even sold enough of his show's catalogs and pdxposed books to break a little bit more than even. thank you so much to those who came, it was great to see

I'm really glad it was satire!

He has a lot of drawing skill and it made me a little sad to see this hip-shallow-narcissism in his letters. Especially the "Well I'm done with you now kthnxbye" finale.

yes, the part of the idea was to poke fun at autobiographical comics done by self involved art guys still hung up on some girlfriend... like craig thompson or jeffrey brown. even though i like craig thompson, he is a whiner..

I like his style way more than jeffrey brown's clumsy doodles. Like a lot.

Ryan seemed so self-aware about it being displayed to the public made me wonder why he didn't just do do a Chester Brown if he wanted everybody to think about his premature ejaculation. Now the execution's kinda funny.

I was there around 6 or 7 and then I went to the brain that wouldn't die play. I had on my backpack, read pdx exposed binder, went around the exhibit, flipped through his books, but I didn't see you there.

are you serious? i got there just after six and stayed for the whole show. how could you miss my glasses? i was either in the gallery or just outside chatting for over 4 hours...
