Love the music on "Love Monkey?"

Time to share!

Music entries must be friends-locked for obvious reasons.

And for all you wonderful icon/wallpaper/header artists out there, please make this your first stop when posting your "Love Monkey" creations. :)

Thank you!

I really don't know much about Keith Urban but since you and clewless both like him I'll have to investigate. :)

Keith Urban is like John Mayer you say -- that's a pretty solid recommendation -- and I like John.

I will find Keith's website and give him a listen. :)

Something Corporate
Mae
Copeland

(but there's really NO way to narrow a favorite's list down! ;) If anyone is interested in more bands I like you can go here for a list of what I've been listening to lately. Drop me a comment somewhere and I can YouSendIt some files)

Thank you!

I've been hearing lots about Mae but haven't heard any songs yet...

And you are correct, narrowing it down to three is ridiculous but I figured I'd make this as simple and painless as possible. :)

Gonna check out your list after dinner!

Since I can't commit to shoes for longer than a day at a time, let alone a favorite band/artist, I'm just picking three that I love a lot rightnowthissecond. lol I lose at listing things.

1) Magnetic Fields
2) The Shins
3) Blue-Eyed Son

Thank you!

Love the bands you listed. :) Trying to find more Blue-Eyed Son online but it's hard. I like to download, listen and then buy to support the artist.

And you're right, it's crazy hard to commit to faves.

My new one this week:
Jenny Lewis With The Watson Twins
Jenny being of Rilo Kiley fame. The songs on MySpace aren't my faves from the album but it's a good taste.

Blue-Eyed Son is not easy to find anything of online. I ended up lucking out and getting the CD for Christmas after much time spent wailing (hintily) about the fact that I couldn't even find their lyrics online ( ... )

Ha!

I also hate MySpace. :)

I only have an account
because a friend of mine who is a musician asked me to support him there.

I'm almost ashamed to admit I've never heard of MX Missiles or Thea Gilmore...

I downloaded Andrew Bird's album "Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs" a while ago but I have yet to listen to it, guess I will now since we seem to have similar musical taste and you recommend him. :)

I've got a new and vaguely bothersome (to me) liking of the White Stripes...

You are hilarious! And I know exactly what you mean. Even so I'm tying to get their entire catalogue, I'm just not going to tell anyone, except you of course! ;-)

Just a warning: they're a country duo.

Not old-fashioned hoe-down country, more like extremely modern country.... but it's country.

My favorite is the very first one, their self-titled one. But the newest one, "Bleed Like Me" is good too. It's different though, a little more guitar-driven than they have been in the past. And they are definitely different from Mike and Matt.

I'm kind of jealous that you can hear Mat on the radio. I've never heard him on the radio, not once!

Well I live in Toronto, and since Matt's Canadian many of our radio stations play his music. :)
