I got to see Thor yesterday at a company pre-screening, since we published the games for it. Our HR department sent an enthusiastic e-mail that we'd be able to see it in 3D. While I appreciate movie days and the extra effort for the free screening, I wasn't thrilled about seeing it in 3D; personally I'm just not a fan of this 3D wave we've been ( Read more... )

Oh man, I'm not a fan of 3D either... it kinda bugs me. The only movie that I liked in 3D was Tron. But even then, that movie wasn't that great (in my opinion)- I just saw it because of Daft Punk.

That really sucks that your main projects are 3D right now. :( I hope they finish soon and that your headaches subside.

I still want to get a 3DS, not because of the 3D (which is sad... because I would be turning off that feature), but because it has or will have a lot of remakes and sequels of classics that I liked/love. I can't buy anything though right now because I had pre-ordered and bought Aqua Princess (my first sweet dress in awhile!). And also... I think my kitten is sick so I need to take her to the vet tomorrow. :(

This is the first time I've heard of Tales of Earthsea! I've been looking for a good movie to watch, so I'll probably give this one a watch soon.

i think the 3DS will offer great games- i'll get one if the professor layton x phoenix wright game comes out here...oh man, that's all i really want, hahha XDDD.

2D glasses, resulting is less nausea and fewer headaches for those dragged to 3D movies: http://www.amazon.com/2D-Glasses-com-2D-Glasses/dp/B004X4L1UC Not that they change the double glasses issue, or the fact that seeing a 3D movies cost more than a regular movie so you're paying extra for something you're not really getting. Blah, I dislike this 3D fad too.

glasses to revert back to 2D? that's crazy XD;;;. i just may have to start convincing my friends how uncool 3D movies are instead, haha. thanks for the link!

What is UP with the sudden 3D wave? It was dead for like 10 years and then it came back. I know there were 3D films in the 50s and it was probably revived in the 80s/90s but now we have 3D films left and right D ( ... )

maybe there's a secret society that wants to make everyone look foolish.

Nintendo DS: having people shout and blow air at their system
Kinect: Flail around like crazy and shout commands like "START BUTTON!"
Nintendo Wii, PS Move: More flailing around and pretending like you're doing sports in real life (corny accessories also available!)
3D Movies: make everyone wear silly glasses

so far i say they're winning, hahha.
