Room 409: Thursday lunchtime

Jan 18, 2007 07:53

Blair was hanging out in his room grumbling about The Man and checking the internet to see if he could find out where Professor Noblet went to college.

He was not having a lot of luck.

River poked her head around Blair's door. She had no classes today, and Bertie had started to protest to loudly at the fiddle playing. That was a little unfair, River thought, as her playing was definitely improving. On the other hand, searching out Blair was more fun.

"Hello?"

"...bet he didn't go anywhere. Just faked the whole degree." Blair muttered and looked up at the greeting. "Hey, River!"

"Bad teacher?" River sat down next to him, putting one arm around his shoulder. "Having bad luck with them this semester?"

"I hope you didn't have plans for the two of us on Saturday morning." Blair turned to give River a kiss on the cheek. "I got detention for being smarter than Professor Noblet."

Well, okay, more like he got a detention for being a jerk to Professor Noblet...but the first seemed like a better reason.

Broots waved from somewhere underneath his five tons of blankets and pillows.

"How're you doing, man?" Blair asked absently, still typing on the computer.

"I didn't faint in class yesterday." Broots lied. "You?"

Blair looked over at Broots' bed and grinned. "Fainting? Seriously?"

Nadia finally made it around to the fourth floor and Blair's room and knocked a bit heavily.

Hey, you run around like mad for two days and see if you aren't exhausted, too.

"It's unlocked!" Blair called, in the middle of typing up an email to a teacher's union.

Nadia decided to take that as meaning she could come in, and did so. "Hey, Blair. How's it going?"

"It's going." Blair looked up from his computer and shrugged. "I'm not really finding any dirt on Professor Noblet."

"How's things with you?"
