thanks for mentioning the 12 steps. I respect that path a lot. It helped me a lot when I was dealing with a major sugar demon, and some codependency issues once upon a time. I've thought about going back, but it hasn't made sense right now. But if you ever want to talk about that stuff, feel free to drop me a note. I do speak program.

also there are some good online resources for quitting and staying quit of smoking- quit.net I think.

It's not the smoking or the quitting, it's All the Parts showing up in the stark light of being "clean." Thanks for your kind words and support.

Without such a clear-cut cause, I'm also working to change my relationship to toughness and vulnerability. I'm grateful for your example and your willingness to be a real, non-perfect human being when teaching, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to see your power continuing to unfold in this way.

12 Step Programs said, Progress not perfection. They taught me how to speak and how to mentor, organize, teach and keep it real.

While I'm not currently tackling an extremely tough addiction, a lot of this entry resonated for me. I have not yet felt strong enough to be in touch with my own vulnerability and loneliness fully, and your courage inspires me to want to make the attempt, even if the result isn't pretty. Hang in there with your process- as of course you will anyway..and thank you for teaching through your rich personal sharing.
