My friend Andrew protested the RNC this year and got pepper sprayed 4 times and maced once. He gave me the first hand account. The cops are completely and utterly corrupt, they only do what rich people want them to, but that's understood I think. Protest leaders were arrested without charges as cops broke into their houses with SWAT teams, and Andrew were jailed for 30 hours before they let him go, and he had no charges against him. Of course, the protesters were trying to cancel the RNC by blockading enough members to appear, (their charter requires a certain amount of people present to hold the meeting) and doing a bunch of sketchy shit to stop them. It was pretty unlawful on both sides. That's why I think moderate thought it better, don't be an extremist on either side, and none of this shit happens. The more we fight the power, the more they do shit to keep us down.
