Aka definitely has a 'kyo' obsession. I'm surprised he didn't name himself Kyo no Ou instead of Aka. I love Shihoudo. She's definitely one of the most powerful characters all of Mibu. If I had my way, she would be the next in line to the throne instead of Kyo or Kyoshiro. Or perhaps Ruru...

Yes, I've been waiting for this! Aka is great, even though he's gone a little crazy..And there is something bothering me: just who is Ruru? It seems odd to me that Aka has a sidekick, I wonder what her story is.

I think Ruru is one of the 'special' creations out of the many from Hishigi's laboratory(one of the battle dolls perhaps) but beyond that, I don't know much.

The way Aka and Ruru interact with one another, Ruru acts like a den mother to Aka. The speech patterns indicate her speaking to him as if she was an equal to Aka. That's why I get these crazy thoughts about her housing another part of Aka's heart or possibly being powerful as Aka himself. *imagination runs amuck*

I'm curious about the aka's sons.. kyoushiro and chinmei we know about, but the other two? who are they? has there been any explanation? I didn't really get it (yes, I'm slow ^^;;...)

I unfortunately don't know much about Aka's sons beyond the fact that Chinmei is the 2nd and Kyoshiro is the fourth. I have crazy ideas about who the other two could be, one being Kyo, of course and others, Muramasa, Julian and folks seemingly outside Mibu (Shindara - the first Sarutobi Sasuke) but that's just my imagination running wild. ^^;

You're welcome. I'm glad it provided some kernal of Aka no Ou knowledge. He's still a big ball of yarn mystery for me and am looking forward to see what else Kamijyo reveals about him. ^__^
