Yeah, I've done this - more times than I care to admit.

Sadly it hasn't always worked. Everquest is a b*tch of a Mistress to compete against.

I had to throw in the towel and admit defeat - but the phrase "I'm leveling" will always make me twitch. :)

I'll admit, once upon a time I played Everquest with fairly intense focus. There may have been a period in my early 20's of about three months where I was unemployed, yet had more money than sense(Halliburton provided a fairly nice severance package for someone who worked for them less than two years.)where I did little else BUT play EQ.

I don't think I was ever quite THAT single-minded, but I did play an awful lot. I still play MMO's, but I have in fact learned to handle the games like a sane person, I could no longer be considered a "hard-core" player by any stretch of the imagination.
