I think it's the bluish-brownish I'm seeing that makes it look that way to me. It was far worse when it was wet, and there's also redder hues inside the yarn that I'm seeing now that kind of help.

Kind of. I'm still amused, though.

But thank you. :D

Hee. This one I'm keeping. You wouldn't want me to sell it anyway, the yarn is like trendy expensive yarn and I'd have to stack my cost onto it and then it'd be ridiculous. Like $40 ridiculous. I can't in good conscience charge that much.

And I'm not sure I can reproduce the mistake but I might give it a whirl with the Norwegian yarn I have. Hmmm... now you've got me thinking.

LOL

Thinking is always good. :) Love to work with alpaca. Please share the pics when you use it.

It's pretty on my monitor too... but I can see where it might tend toward healing-bruise. Then again, that's a fun shade... would go nicely with my mostly-black wardrobe *grin*

I'm really enjoying seeing the things you're creating. My mom says she wants to knit me some fingerless gloves - is the yarn you dye the right sort of weight for that? (I know NOTHING)

Yes, it's a perfect weight for fingerless gloves. Socks too. Lucky you!!

LOL whatever color you like best! Wait until everything's up in the shop at the end of the weekend, though.

Purple is my favorite color, all shades of it. So my vote is \o/.

I think if I saw organ meat of this color, I'd toss it in the rubbish pronto.

I'm enjoying your yarn dye adventures. :)

Just wanted to second the suggestion about tossing any organ meat of this colour into the waste bin! :)

To me it looks like a pretty purple/lilac yarn.

Doesn't look like organ meat to me...but also doesn't look like a colour I'd ever want to wear. :-)
