I am super looking forward to Les Mis - the trailers look amazing and it even seems like they've taken a lot of inspiration from the book.

But I really think Russell Crowe will be the weak link:

He sounds okay, he can sing alright.  But he can't hold the notes, and he can't pull of the range.  Acting wise, I think he'll make a brilliant Javert,

I can't wait to see this either! Every time I see the trailer I think, Anne Hathaway, you are so gonna get an Academy Award for this.

Yep! All reports seem to suggest they'll be a sweep of awards across the board!

Yeah....Philip Quast he ain't. I'm excited for the movie overall but I don't know how Russell Crowe got a singing job, lol. I'll cross my fingers with you, though! ;)

He certainly isn't! I kind of feel for him because he obviously tries very hard, but I won't deny, when I first heard him singing in the trailer, I burst out laughing.
