"Tell me about that git Harry Potter"

So.  Half-Blood Prince.  I quite liked it - although it had the feeling of one huge set-up for Deathly Hallows.  I also think it is not kind to casual viewers or non-book readers, but does quite well in keeping to the 'spirit' of the book, so to speak.

Although of course I have some petty criticisms )

i pretty much agree with everything you said. =)

tipsy!hermione was the most random thing ever... and then she reverted in emergency!mode and just... wasn't tipsy anymore? weird.

Also, Why the hell is Ginny tying Harry's shoelaces? Such a random moment, and not in a good way. <<< i LOLed at that bit... i felt like her role was a bit too maternal for them to have any sexual tension lol

Indeed. And it was squick-worthy sexual tension as well. We don't need any more subtext that Harry has an Oedipus complex, thank you writers.

While I was watching it, I was annoyed at the lack og Harry being immobolised watching Dumbledore's death, as I was thinking that Harry would never just stand there and let it happen, no matter what he promised! But on further thought I decided I quite liked it.

The opening was epic. Even the music was perfect, and I loved the fly-down over London.

I have a horrible feeling that the DH movie will consist of four hours of the Trio wandering around the forest being useless and boring...
