Fabulous. And painful. And beautiful.

That time was so difficult to watch, it was like living through it with them and you did an incredible job of adding snippets to it that felt so real to me I could have sworn I saw them ALL on screen.

Thanks :)

I like shows that make me cry sometimes--I can never resist a good tissue alert!

This is amazing and poignant. You did a fabulous job bringing their feelings, their grief, to the surface, which is no small feat given how closed both of these men can be.

And this line:
No man should outlive his children

I don't know if you intended it as a Lord of the Rings call back, but now I'm sad for King Theoden all over again, as well as Bill and Lee Adama.

Wasn't intended as a callback, no. But it could have been subconscious--been a while since I read LotR.

And I have to give props to Eddie and Jamie, really - they played suppressed overwhelming grief so well that writing it was not that hard!

Thanks for reading :)

This was so terribly sad..it reminds me of when I first saw Kara die...I actually belived it at the time. I really like how you've put the bits together and woven them seamlessly into the show. I could've sworn I watched this.

Spometimes I wish I had gone into Maelstrom unspoiled. Sometimes not.

When I watched it for the second time with my bf, I made sure *he* was unspoiled - but he threatened to not watch anymore episodes unless I reassured him Starbuck was gonna come back! I managed not to, but I had to hint at it anyway.

It was so bittersweet to watch Maelstrom again given the ending of the show :(

Thanks for your feedback :(

This was so beautiful and sad. You can just sense how the loss of Kara is effecting Lee and Bill. It's written so well that you can see Bill and Lee's public behavior and their private turmoil and how both of them are slowly falling apart.

Great job! Really enjoyed it even though I couldn't read right because I was crying. Great!
