Yay! More Bungo/Belladonna!

This was really fun, and I liked the specifics you came up with for the construction of Bag End.

And poor Bungo in that quarrel--courting a Took must not be very easy!

This was lovely!

Yes, I don't think that courting a Took would be an easy process, LOL!

And we are told in The Hobbit that Bag End was partially financed by Belladonna's own money, so I had to figure how that would have come about!

Yes, I imagine a daughter of the Old Took *would* be a handful! It's clear from her description in TH, that she was not a shy retiring sort!

I think this is the "wee-est" I've ever written Bilbo. *grin*

What a wonderful and unexpected birthday fic!

I will advance Belladonna's dowry to you for the constructing and digging of this hole. I will take it on faith that the two of you will mend things between you. Spare no expense in making a smial that my daughter will be comfortable living in

How clever of you! I enjoyed seeing the origins of Bag End.

Well, it says in TH that Bag End was partially built with her money, so it seemed to make sense that this would explain it.

Oh, HEAVENS no! Not Bertha! Never that! Heh!

Lovely look at their courtship and marriage, and I'm SO glad they built Bag End to get away from Longo! Perfect!

No, not Bertha, though that could have been a Baggins name (from the rejected names.

I wondered why the son of the head of the Baggins would want to live away from the family-- this seemed like a good explanation.
