Poor Frodo and Sam. Thinking you'd never see home again would be the worst sort of homesickness.

Yes, i agree... it is a very nostalgic time for them. Another good drabble would be Sam's point of view as well .:)

You couldn't have known how this would speak to me now, and that makes it all the more special. I don't know how much you're aware of what's been going on with me, but...I *needed* this. THANK YOU. :)

Poor Frodo--they are still in Ithilien, things will get even harder, and it will be even more difficult to remember the good of the world! At least, there's Sam to support him.

Yes, dark times are ahead indeed. Frodo's thoughts will get darker as the time goes on. I'm glad Sam is with him nevertheless.

There are still the memories for now, at least, even if they are already fading. And, with Sam beside him and Gollum before him he has one to remind him of the good he's seeking to protect and the other to warn him of what he could become if the Ring gets Its way.

Yes, it is still some degree of hope and memory but i think it will get even darker and even worse especially after the capture of Frodo. I think it was crucial to have Sam and Gollum besides him though Gollum is swiftly turning more evil.

The long trudge into Mordor is one of my favourite parts of LOTR, with Frodo slowly losing all the memory of anything good in the world, and this is a beautifully illustrated moment in that journey.

Thank you so much! I think many people liked his long trek to Mordor and how he got affected is fodder for much fic indeed. Thanks for your comment! :)
