This is utterly fascinating. What Mae did, how she did it - wow. And how heartbreaking that Sam doesn't remember John at all.

The differences here, Sam is more open and less bitter, even his 'family', they just fit so seemlessly into this verse I didn't even blink.

So good. Thank you, what a wonderful read.

Very intriguing story. I enjoyed how just the one small change (like who he sits next to on the bus to Stanford) made such a huge difference in his life, and yet not a huge difference. The pilot played out almost identically, but Sam's aspirations are so different. Very interesting!

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the concept. I love playing with the ideas of how one little change can make a huge difference in someone's life.

Oh this was a superb idea, extremely well executed.

I was totally enthralled the whole time, and I adored the OC's, particularly Grandma Mae.

Such an enjoyable story, and I LOVE how you tied it into canon. Excellent job.

Thank you so much. I loved this idea from the beginning so having others like it, too, means the world to me. And I'm glad you liked the OCs. I always worry about how OCs will be received.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the differences with Sam. And I have to admit that I keep wondering myself how these two continue on with their lives, what changes have to be made.

Wow- I have to admit, I do see Grandma Mae as being a little evil in that she doesn't have evil intentions, but fools in people's lives, with their minds and memories, like she's a God. Those original parents don't get to be remembered or honored, and choice is taken away from everyone. I think it's sweet that it happens because she wants it so bad, but it's dangerous. Whatever else, John and Dean loved Sam, and vice versa. So I wasn't that sad at her fate. And that makes me a little guilty- hating on an old woman (see you drew your characters so well I feel bad for OFCs ( ... )

I'm so glad you enjoyed the fic. And I'm happy to hear that you can see both the good and evil with Grandma Mae. That was pretty much the entire driving force behind this fic. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It really means a lot to me.
