[Sokka is passing by and he happens to know this house. Surely this must be Shirley baking. And yes, that pun actually occurred to him in his head. He'll have to save it for when he sees her. He's just going to creep up to the window so he can surprise her, because that's totally reasonable.]

[There's no way Grune is going to notice him until he talks to her, and maybe not even then. So she just keeps bustling around.]

[He'll just pop up in the window.]

Hey Shirl- [Wait...] Huh?

[Grune is completely unfazed by the jack-in-the-boy suddenly appearing at her window.] Good morning!

[Jay walks by the house, and he does smell the baking through the window. More importantly, he recognizes the carefree voice.]

Grune?

[He's genuinely curious, because he's never seen her cook before.]

Hello, Jay. Isn't it a beautiful day?

[If you spend enough time on the Legacy, you learn at least how to make bread.]

[With all his woes of hating this place, he wasn't even paying attention to the weather. Grune, on the other hand, hardly seems to notice the danger in front of her. How does she do it?]

[There's a plate of biscuits sitting on the counter, in plain sight. Grune pauses in her busy motions to think.] Now what did I do with those biscuits?

[Fenimore had been out when Grune had started that baking adventure, so when she returned to the smell of baking, she assumed that it was Shirley, too. Upon opening the door, she calls out:] What are you making, Shir--?

[The l dies on her lips as she actually catches sight of the kitchen.] ...Grune? [You can bake?]

Hello, Fenimore. How are you? [Sort of? If you don't mind every second batch being burned.]

[xelhes]

[Given that Fenimore's experience with Grune accomplishing tasks--that is, watching Grune get sent off on an errand and predictably forgetting about it--even that much seems like a miracle. But, then again, she doesn't really know very much about Grune, so she's not really in a position to judge her competancy.]

Ah...I'm fine. How are you? ...But why am I asking? It's always the same answer.

[Food? Diamond is so there. He smells the delicious scents of baking and is lead right to Grune's window, peeking inside to see if he can catch a glimpse of what she's making]

[The answer to that question is biscuits! Half of them are burnt biscuits due to Grune having the tendency to forget what she's doing in the middle of baking, but some of them seem pretty good.]

[Ah, well, Diamond thinks they'd be great, even if some of them are burnt. Diamond decides now is the best time to speak up]

Hey! Those look really good!

[Grune takes the random boy popping up at her window completely in stride.] Thank you. Would you like one?

[This is a very popular window! Fortunately, Grune is very difficult to startle.] Hmm...what am I making?
