eliminating emotional clutter

Today we have nothing to do. I'm  learning to appreciate these kind of days as they seem to be fewer and fewer lately.  I've been working back-to-back doubles on the weekends. I'm also purposely arranging things to do with friends and family nearly every weekday to stay busy and distract myself from the loneliness that comes with Chris being on ( Read more... )

Sympathies with work, I'm just coming to the end of a two week stint of nights and generally they are less hectic, though recently this hasn't been the case. Our early shift start at 7am so as a non morning person myself I understand.

There's also the lack of administration, clerical, and any other staff besides nursing there at night, which I like too.

I've worked per diem since my daughter was born and up until recently I had no problem getting whatever hours I wanted and then by some miracle they had no staffing needs on nights all this month so here I am, doing what I swore I'd never do, haha.

Those are pretty much the same reasons that I prefer nights, much less drama as well. Where I work it's all internal rotation so no choice on what shifts to work, unless of course you can get off nights for medical reasons.

I used to work at Target! For a brief period in 2005... I was in softlines :) But for the last few years I've worked as a CNA (nurses aid) in a nursing home.
