This was wonderful! You portrayed Giles' grief so well. I love how you wrote Wes in this - caring and competent, but still nervous and somewhat unsure of himself. And that first kiss was incredible.
Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, sweetie.
As for the more, I'm thinking about it. At first I was going to write a PWP, but . . . I'm not sure I can keep plot out of it. ::sighs:: I'm not sure whether or not I'll write it now.
You rock, do you hear me, ROCK??? My, oh my. I came home from an absolutely horrible day and found this. Thanks, thanks, thanks. Love the angst. Love the distance and Wesley being the caretaker. Love it all. Did I mention that you rock?
That first phone call...it was a reaching out; I wonder if he though that perhaps Wes was just distant enough to be removed from it, but also close enough (being a Watcher and all) to understand a bit.
I think Giles would have thought of Wes as familiar, in that he's an aquaintance and they have things in common, but also that Wesley doesn't remind him of Buffy nearly as much as the other people he knows. He could have called Cordy, but she's very much tied to Buffy, as is Angel. Wesley, still is, but so much less so.
And finally...elizabuffy is right! You write some of the hottest kissing ;^)
