"Black tie is a little overdressed" (Spooks 2.6 picspam)

Mar 12, 2010 21:09

I didn't have much brain for doing all the things I meant to be doing last night, so had another go taking screenshots from the first 10 mins or so of Spooks 2.6. Therefore no spoilers whatsoever (other than what's also given away by the DVD cover in terms of Characters Who Survived S1), just everyone (Matthew Macfadyen, Keeley Hawes, David ( Read more... )

Eee! I'd forgotten about that black tie in the Grid stuff!

I know. I think it's about the only time they all get dressed up for another few seasons. It seemed a good thing to share, but my copies of the pics were way bigger than this! Hmm.

They should get dressed up more often!

I so miss S2. No one ever spills tea these days, or lets the cat out.

I miss that sort of thing in Spooks too. It's all so serious these days.

I know. I mean, still Spooks, but the only flicker of light regarding that sort of thing was Ros and Lucas's useless facts banter. It's something, but it's not spilt tea. ;-)

Eeee! Series 2! How I miss it.

There is so much to love in just the first ten minutes of this episode. Especially Zoe's dress (though her hair still isn't quite right) - and I laughed so hard at that cap of Danny "reading" the "note".

Thank you! I thought it might be a fun one to try out my new powers of picspamming on, especially as it had a point where I could make myself STOP. ;-)

Yes, I had the sound off (cos I'd slowed it down and everyone sounded very strange) and Danny's actions at that point had me going 'Eh' for a minute, before I realised.

Thanks! 2.5 and 2.6 together make up my favourite DVD disc, I have to say. :-)

And, yes, I know - S9 started as if we might actually get bits like this, and then... :-(

If we had an episode where the problem was tea-spillage instead of end-of-the-world, that would make a very nice change.

Well, 2.5 for sure is one of my favourite episodes, but other than the tea-incident and the pretty clothes I don't remember much of 2.6. I really need a re-watch!!

Yep, a very nice change. Mind you, where would they fit it into the series, now there's only eight episodes instead of ten? =/ I still maintain they ought to return to having ten episodes, at least to commemorate S10...

2.6 is where the US president visits and Christine Dale puts and end to Tom's insane girlfriend. And where Malcolm spends all his time trying to salvage tea-stained documents, of course. :-) Far more frivolous than 2.5 but they make a nice pairing on the disc together! :-)

Well, S1 had only 6 episodes, and they still fitted in stuff like hairdrying the cat in ep1 and Zoe and Danny's spy competitions in their flat.

(Edited because I apparently have an inability to type the right words this morning).

S2 is my favourite series. There was a good mix of comic and sad, scary and angst etc. I felt that s2 was the best team overall imo. I miss those days so much. *le sigh* Spooks ain't what it used to be alas :P

Heh. I am torn. I quite like S1, although it is sad in that it is Ruth-less. But my fave is either S2 or S4. I can never quite decide. But I am sorry we don't have those little every day stuff they used to do. Spilling tea, spy competitions, finding the cat, all that sort of thing.

Wow. That's creepy! s4 is my other fave series! I loved s1 too but once Ruth came in everything was more awesome :P

Yes - it was immediately clear that the series had needed a bonkers but brilliant senior analyst all along. I mean, I have enjoyed most of the other seasons, but S2 & 4 remain my favourites so far. :-)
