"Black tie is a little overdressed" (Spooks 2.6 picspam)

Mar 12, 2010 21:09

I didn't have much brain for doing all the things I meant to be doing last night, so had another go taking screenshots from the first 10 mins or so of Spooks 2.6. Therefore no spoilers whatsoever (other than what's also given away by the DVD cover in terms of Characters Who Survived S1), just everyone (Matthew Macfadyen, Keeley Hawes, David Oyelowo, Peter Firth, Megan Fellows) looking pretty in formal wear. And stolen, tea-stained documents...

***

Just to explain, our Heroes are interrupted at a diplomatic party by the sudden decision of the US President to visit Britain. The CIA want access to more than they should and to take the lead; MI5 are being sulky and intercepting US documents to try and find out what's really going on. And someone has spilt their tea over the said stolen documents. Meanwhile, Tom's getting dody phonecalls. (I so miss S2. No one ever spills tea these days, or lets the cat out.)

Doing the Spooks walk in formal wear.

Danny

Zoe

Tom's phone is probably ringing again...

Amusingly, pre Harry/Ruth, but they're on the phone to each other discussing the 'borrowed' crate of documents...

The Americans arrive, led by Christine Dale. Cue much sarcasm and one-upmanship on both side. (This is MI5 and the CIA remember. None of them trust anyone...)

Believe it or not, but what Danny is looking at here is...

...this. Really.

Harry keeps his bow tie on, unlike the rest. He's not liking being bossed around, though...

"And there will be no pocket money for either of you for one month..."

Comic moment: the clearly labelled and rather large stolen crate is walked past the open door in full viewing of the visiting CIA operatives...

Luckily Sam is on hand to get it out of sight.

The CIA have a problem. Do MI5 care? Not much...

Tom in the briefing room.

One of the few proper full-length shots of Zoe's dress.

Ruth! (She doesn't get dressed up, but there's one clear shot, so I had to include it, obviously. I think she's trying to signal to Tom to get rid of Christine...)

Sam and Malcolm investigate the crate:

"How much tea?!"

"One day all the grid will be blue like this, you know. There won't be any green..."

Leonardo of the dustbins at work again.

(Soon after this, Harry spoils the fun by arranging for everyone's proper clothes to be brought: "Black tie is a little overdressed, I feel".)
