1. I'm beginning to feel like my entries here are heartlessly ignoring everything in rl, but they're not. It's just I have nothing useful to contribute to that conversation right now (and, anyway, I'd get upset and angry again, and that only leads to being less well instead of more well), so I shall just continue as I am, and at least be cheerful ( Read more... )

I am here, reading along happily with the family history and the James Maxwell squee and all the other happy fluff. There is Too Much real-world appallingness. Your entries make me smile.

Thanks! *hugs*

These things are a big shock and knock you out of orbit. Having done that with Brexit, I'm still in orbit, but not entirely sure the world is... But i'm glad the cheerfulness is, well, cheering and not too annoying!!

The cheerfulness is nice. When large matters are completely hopeless, there is still a photograph of tiny baby James Maxwell in the world, and people playing sports have been absurd and related to other people, and... even if the world doesn't continue to exist, there has been a lot of small good things in it, you know? *snuggles you* It's comforting, and it doesn't feel heartless at all.

Aw. Very true! And my comedy sport-playing great-grandad (if it was indeed him) was illegitimate and spent an awful lot of his childhood in the workhouse and was poor all his life - so if he can have fun with rugby and make people laugh, I think we can all still have some good things too. :-)

*hugs you*
