Goddamnit. I fed myself some questionable foodstuffs this evening, forgetting this was going on. Goddamnit.

No problem, there will be tomorrow and even more days after that. This isn't just a night thing. The pot is primed and ready.

Oh! Sorry about today's lack of hungry people. Does that mean you have less work to do for tomorrow's crackpot pistol? Besides the stew, I mean? (Just trying to look on the bright side...)

Oh, it is true. The bright side about the crockpot is that it just gets better the next day.

Now the real question you might be interested in is whether at 4:30am I am just getting home, getting ready to go to sleep, or just waking up to start the day. Either way, I will be tending to my crack-pot pistol project.

In fact, tonight will be stew night as put on by Sarafina. I will be the little kitchen helper, as usual, but she will be in charge of the recipe, and the culinary direction.
