I lean over to turn on the radio inside the beat up truck I’m driving, wincing when all I hear is static. “I just had you fixed.” I complained as I turned it off and turned back to the road

When the door opened, I was in the middle of saying, "All right, now I'm getting bored and calling security. Buh-bye now!" And then our strike force would have hauled him off and made funny shapes of his innards.
I got interrupted by a knocking at my door right in the middle of "getting bored" and turned to see a woman coming in... Young. Light hair. Pretty. But not prettier than me, which is what matters. She was looking for Lindsey. I smiled and turned back to him. "We have company, Lindsey."
I took another shot as she threatened to call for security. That was just like Liliah to call for back-up when things get rough. I look over at Lilah, when I heard a very familiar voice. I turn my head to the side and look at the door and there stood my girl.
I quickly stood up and made my way over to her, and kissed her. I smile for a minute, wrap an arm around her, then wondered what time it was. I check my watch and I must of been running a little late.
"Hey baby, Sorry I'm running a little late. Just have a little more business to take care of."
I didn't like that she came in here, nor did I like her being near Liliah. She'd eat her alive with one gulp, luckily she was after me at the moment. I stare at her from across the room, she looked a little more intrigued at the moment. This wasn't going to be good.
"Well Liliah, this is Tara and Tara this is the most evil person you'll ever meet."
I smiled as Lindsey came up to me. I kissed him back, feeling the woman's gaze on me, looking me over. Ignoring her I smiled at him. "It's ok, I should have waited in the car." I felt Lindsey put his arm around me possessively, like this woman was going to snatch me away or something.
I could tell Lindsey felt a little uneasy with me there, I looked up at him questionably. I wondered if this was part of his 'unfinished business' or something else.
I was tempted to ask him about this place but a part of me wasn't so sure I wanted to know.
"Well Lilah, this is Tara and Tara this is the most evil person you'll ever meet."
I looked over at Lilah and glanced her over. "Hello Miss Morgan." I said softly, turning to look at Lindsey. "Sweetie, can we head home soon?" This place gave me the creeps but I didn't want to say anything to him.
The cold stare coming from her gave me nothing but satisfaction. I grabbed tightly onto Tara's hand, I tried to focus all my attention on her but I wanted to know what exactly was going through Liliah's head.
"Liliah, I think you maybe being tad bit rude"
I smile, this pleased me in many ways knowing that I got Liliah side tracked for a minute. I stare at Tara, I could sense that she hated this place. I did too, but I wasn't done just yet. I put my lips against her ears, "Just a couple more minutes then we're out I swear."
This being Sunday, and a staff meeting was near, I could tell Liliah was gathering all kinds of information she could get her hands on. I kiss Tara on the forehead before breaking my hold on her. I walked over to Liliah's desk, and put my hands on a chair.
"Now I thought I might ask you one more time. If you would ever be so gracious, Oh wait, You don't know anything about Angel."
I narrow my eye's at her, then back away, "Good luck at your staff meeting, Hope you can keep your head."
