I joined LiveJournal because a pretty large number of my friends were here and posting. It was fun, it was very nice to get to communicate with them, and I felt lucky to be part of the community. I think my favorite movie of last year was Zodiac. It was directed by David Fincher (just nominated for his first Golden Globe! It snowed today! Beautiful, snowwhite snow! There was snow on my lawn when I came from work, too dark for my camera but more than light enough for my eyes.

Winter, ho!

My inbox has been empty for a couple days. The spam that dutifully appears, day in, day out, was apparently way, way curbed back this week when a Web hosting firm responsible for 75% of the world's spam was taken offline. Story.

Havent seen spam for days.

I took the day off. It's been quiet here, lonely. I could use some friend(s).

My drawing class finished last week. There were maybe ten people in the class, most of them really excellent artists (or much better then me, anyway). Bill, the teacher, in theory let us do what we wanted, but he actually would bring in artificial pumpkins or plastic skulls to be seasonal, and we'd spend all class drawing them. There's a circa-1990 piano in our curiously named dining room, an instrument that's becoming increasingly dusty and out of tune over time. Three or four months ago, I decided to give it a try.
