She's one of my favourite Heyer characters, and one I tend to neglect, because I'm not all that keen on the book. So thank you for sending me back to it :)
Well, you'd certainly hope that the owner/suspect was a doctor or natural philosopher! ha, the tone is perfect. And how admirably rational and sceptical of her.
