→ Yukimura's starter, Gen is similar to, but not exactly like, his namesake, Sanada Genichiro. Easily the most devoted of the Pokemon, Gen is obedient and stubborn, willing to follow his master to the ends of Johto if necessary. It does have an affectionate and playful side, though, and sometimes bullies the other Pokemon in a bid for Yukimura's attention.

→ Received as a gift from Fuji and named for Kirihara Akaya, Aya is a fun-loving Pokemon that is perhaps not quite as mysterious and cool as an Umbreon should be. She likes to harass the other Pokemon and even sometimes her trainer, but she also trains hard enough to please Yukimura and really enjoys battling.
